Dr. Rodrigues began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science from Radford University in the United States, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from Debreceni Egyetem (University of Debrecen) in Hungary. Her early interest in developmental psychology and neurobiology laid the groundwork for her career-long focus on youth mental health.
Following her medical training, Dr. Rodrigues completed over seven years of structured specialist training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, working as a Registrar from 2014 to 2021. She subsequently progressed into a senior registrar role with the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland, where she continued to expand her clinical and leadership expertise in mental health services for young people across a wide range of settings.
Currently, Dr. Rodrigues serves as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with St John of God Community Services, one of Ireland’s leading mental health service providers. In this capacity, she works with complex cases involving neurodevelopmental disorders, emotional and behavioural difficulties, trauma-related conditions, and severe mood and anxiety disorders in children and teenagers. Her approach is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and based on the most up-to-date evidence in child psychiatry.
Dr. Rodrigues is particularly skilled in the diagnosis and management of neurodevelopmental disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual Disabilities. She also has extensive experience in treating mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, and emerging personality difficulties in adolescents. She provides thorough psychiatric assessments, second opinions, and medication management plans, always tailored to the developmental stage of the child and in close consultation with caregivers and allied professionals.
Known for her warm, compassionate, and approachable manner, Dr. Rodrigues excels at building rapport with young people and their families. She believes in working collaboratively with families, schools, and multidisciplinary teams to create an integrated care plan that supports the child not only medically, but emotionally, socially, and educationally.
In her work with Private Therapy Clinic, Dr. Rodrigues offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic clarity, and ongoing treatment for children and adolescents across Ireland. She welcomes referrals for concerns including emotional regulation difficulties, severe anxiety, school refusal, behavioural challenges, trauma-related symptoms, and complex presentations requiring both diagnostic and pharmacological support.

Her practice is informed by the latest research in developmental psychiatry, and she is committed to improving access to early and effective mental health care for children and adolescents across Ireland.
