Aoife Cassidy is an experienced psychotherapist at Private Therapy Clinic, working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has over 15 years of experience in the therapeutic field and specialises in psychotherapy, art psychotherapy, and trauma therapy. Aoife is passionate about helping individuals and families address a wide range of mental health concerns, providing a safe and supportive environment for healing and growth.
Aoife holds a Clinical MSc in Child and Adolescent Art Psychotherapy from the University of Dublin and Mater CAMHS, Dublin. She also holds a Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, a Practitioner’s Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). In addition, Aoife is trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, allowing her to work safely and effectively with trauma and attachment concerns.
Aoife is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. She supports clients with a variety of issues including developmental trauma, sexual trauma, attachment concerns, anxiety, depression, low mood, eating disorders, self-harm, suicide ideation, behavioural concerns, bereavement, loss, grief, and relationship difficulties.
